1Assembly centres
Extensive breeding method, the animals are reared as much as possible on grazing land; their food consists primarily of grass.
In winter, the animals are stabled if adverse weather conditions are not conducive to good breeding conditions.
Horses are given a food supplement (comprising barley, hay, oats, etc.) to ensure they have an appropriate balanced diet.
Our suppliers’ assembly centres are audited regularly to ensure they comply with our specifications.
2Transport of live animals
All transport is mainly handled by our suppliers who have the transport capacities (CAPTAV) required to comply with European regulations.
The loading and unloading of live animals are audited regularly to ensure that good transport practices are applied.
3Slaughterhouse
All our slaughterhouses comply with good slaughtering practices.
They are audited regularly to ensure good practices and animal well-being and protection.
